The Oulton Broad & Lowestoft Horticultural Society held their 108th Grand Flower and Vegetable show last weekend, with many exhibitors coming from all over Suffolk, an important date on their calendar hoping to win first prize and a cup for the best exhibit in their class.
One of the largest and most imposing of the exhibits were the Dahlias, simply out of this world in such a large variety of colours and shapes. The vegetables did not disappoint and were the peak of perfection, there were many other beautiful flowers from mixed flowers to perfect orchids, beautiful begonias and very strange looking succulents, and a variety of different pot plants.
Other classes included Floral art, wonderful handicrafts from some really talented people, photography and Domestic economy.
